Pick your language and the one you need. The app downloads the AI models once. Use Wi-Fi - they are large.

Say what you need, or type it. The translation appears under your words, and you can tap Listen to play it.

The other person answers in their language. You see it in yours. Keep talking as long as you need.
Putnik AI
A travel assistant in your pocket
Ask about local customs, what to say at the pharmacy, or how to read a menu. Putnik AI runs Google's Gemma model on your phone, so it answers even in airplane mode. You can type, speak, or add a photo.
Needs a phone with 4 GB of RAM or more. AI answers can be wrong - check important details.
How do I politely ask for the bill in a Greek taverna?

Catch the waiter's eye and say “To logariasmó, parakaló” - “The bill, please.” In Greece the bill usually doesn't come until you ask.

Questions
Do I need internet?
Only for the first download of language packs and voice models. After that, translation, voice, photo translation, and the AI assistant all work offline.
How much space does it need?
A language pack is a few hundred MB. Voice recognition adds about 1 GB, and the AI assistant about 2.6 GB. You only download what you use, and we recommend Wi-Fi.
Is my conversation private?
Yes. Your text, voice, and photos are processed on your phone and are never sent to us. We collect anonymous usage stats and crash reports to improve the app - never the content of your chats.
Which phones are supported?
Android 8.0 or newer on a 64-bit phone. The AI assistant needs at least 4 GB of RAM.
Is there an iPhone version?
Putnik for iPhone is in App Store review now. It should be available soon.
